In the Berkshire XL line, the RV maker undertook a complete interior facelift with new countertops, flooring, a décor overhaul and new modern colors. Just as the company did in the Legacy line, it has increased its axle capacity to create more cargo capacity. The drop-down cockpit bed also is an available option on all floorplans in Berkshire XL. Cunningham says the system is one of the higher-end systems in the industry and dealers can choose to stock units with or without it, but if customers would like it installed they will be able to put it in within an hour on the sales lot. Separately, a new floorplan in the Berkshire XL, called the 40D, features a bath-and-a-half, a rear bathroom wardrobe with an emphasis on abundant wardrobe space, sofa seating and high-end paint schemes for the exterior. Cunningham says the biggest change the RV maker made in the Berkshire XLT lineup is the switch to an all-electric coach using the Aqua-Hot Hydronic Heating system. "Based upon customer demand, we decided to offer a fully electric coach. It's become more popular," he says. The full-tile luxury showers now come standard on the XLT and there is an option for a drop-down bed in the front. The XLT features Ultra-Fab furniture and the option for electric-heated floors. The new 45B floorplan in the XLT has a bath-and-a-half and an oversized rear walk-in wardrobe. "We've put the emphasis on extra hanging storage. There's a bench where you can sit to get ready and a dresser. It's a little bit more like at home in your walk-in closet," Cunningham says. Riverstone/Riverstone Legacy While the Riverstone and Riverstone Legacy fifth wheel lines don't have the same longevity as the Sierra and Sandpiper brands, in the three-and-a-half years they have been around they have grown significantly, according to Gunter, who serves as national sales manager for Riverstone as well as Sierra and Sandpiper. In fact, the company just broke ground on a new 100,000-square- foot manufacturing facility in Topeka, Ind., which it should be moving into by early 2019, according to Gunter. The Riverstone line will get a new graphics packages, front end and rear caps, and a new floorplan, the 37REL. The floor- plan features a rear entertainment center with a mid-bunk and loft above the mid-bunk slide. "We're dual purpose in this segment. A lot of customers work from the road and want a dedicated office space. This provides them an option for a desk. It's a bunkhouse first with an optional desk or office set up," Gunter says. Other updates include a move to the Truma water heater as standard. Gunter says Riverstone is also launching a front living room garage model, the 39FLTH, which features a newly designed cap with a front windshield. "The quality of glass you get is good.
