76 • RV PRO • September 2018 rv-pro.com R V M A N U F A C T U R E R S F ive leading builders of park model RVs will display their most popular floorplans at the "Park Model Village" during Elkhart Open House Week. The village will again be located at County Road 6 and County Road 17, on the northeast side of Elkhart not far from the RV/MH Hall of Fame. The quintet includes the newly formed combination of Skyline Corp. and Champion Home Builders under the name Skyline Champion Corp., as well as Woodland Park, Fairmont and Canterbury RV. "It will be a good representation of the park models that are in the marketplace today," says John Soard, national sales manager for Woodland Park and chairman of the RV Industry Association's Park Model RV Committee. Park Model Village exhibits will be open from around 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, Monday, Sept. 24, through Thursday, Sept. 27. Here are some highlights of those exhibits. Skyline Champion The fruits of the combination of Skyline Corp. and Cham- pion Home Builders that took effect in June will be apparent at Open House, as the two park model builders will showcase a total of five units. The new company has opted to retain its individual brand names for marketing purposes, but will be on display under one umbrella, says Dick Grymonprez, director of park model sales for Champion, who also is unofficially assuming a similar role for Skyline. Skyline will have "a large presence at the show" with four units: two from its Leola, Pa., plant and two from its Lancaster, Wis., plant, according to Grymonprez. All retain the Shore Park brand name. One from Leola is a non-lofted floorplan with a king bed, a walk-in shower, new décors, cabinetry and linoleum colors.
