"We have taken three of the most popular models that Cavco has built over the years and made many past upgrades 'standard' now. It will be a solid rental piece for campgrounds." All interiors will have a new rustic feel and all content will be standard except for the metal roof color choice. That choice is among charcoal, green or gray. "For people who haven't seen our park models for a few years, they will come to the show, see our units and say, 'Wow!'" Smith says. Albright and Smith credit the influence of Cavco's design team. "We have a décor team we feel is second to none," Smith adds. Nappanee, Ind.-based Fairmont was a regional company until 2015, when Cavco bought it, turning it into a truly national firm. With that came increased purchasing power, best practices, strong marketing expertise and that strong décor team. Fairmont markets its park models in the East, Midwest, the Great Plains and across Canada from Ontario all the way to British Columbia. Albright and Smith contend that Fairmont is doing better this year than the park model industry as a whole. With strong dealer turns and an expanding market share, they see the momentum created the past few years continuing into 2019. Woodland Park At Open House, Woodland Park – one of the nation's largest privately-owned park model builders – will be showing seven units: six representing a cross-section from its standard lineup of Timber Ridge and Essence brands plus a specialty model it builds exclusively for a high-end campground in the East.
