86 • RV PRO • September 2018 rv-pro.com R V M A N U F A C T U R E R S For now, though, Hawkins says he is happy with the lineup that will exhibit this year. MorRyde and Samlex have joined the likes of ADCO Prod- ucts, BAL RV Products (Norco), Bulldog, Coleman Mach, Demco, Equal-i-zer Hitch (Progress Mfg.), Fastway Trailer Products (Progress Mfg.), Fleming Sales / Outdoors Unlimited, Icon Technologies, Maxx-Air, Thetford and Norcold, Reese, Suburban, Tekonsha, Torklift and Winegard. "We're continuing to try to grow, but with a growth that supports what we've always tried to do, which is complement the OEMs," Hawkins says. "If you look at our vendor list, we've got the best of the best in there. We're happy with that." The Supplier Showcase is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25 and Tuesday, Sept. 26, and lunch will be pro- vided. All vendors are asking dealers in attendance to sign up for a $13,000 gift card. The winner will get to choose where the gift card can be redeemed. Hawkins says the hours and days are limited because Monday has become the dealers' busiest day with the OEMs and not as many are still in attendance by Thursday. "I think the Elkhart Open House is going to continue to be the premier event in the industry now," he says. "The ques- tion for us is how do we fit in? How do we offer the OEMs and dealers assistance with our presence there without trying to steal the thunder? So far, so good." Dometic Dometic will be holding a Chillin' & Grillin' backyard BBQ event Monday, Sept. 24, at the Wellfield Botanical Gardens across the street from its Main Street headquarters. The event will begin at 4 p.m. and there will be food and drinks. Chef Kevin Roberts will be cooking for guests again this year. Aside from the food and drinks, the Swon Brothers, as seen on "The Voice" will be headlining a concert, also at the gardens. Opening for them will be Country Artist Stephanie Quayle, who has partnered with Care Camps. Dometic has recently partnered with them and will announcing this partnership around the time of Open House (details are still forthcoming). Dometic also will host two free technical trainings at the company's headquarters at 1120 N. Main St., with lunch pro- vided. They will each be two days (Sept. 24 and Sept. 25 or Sept. 26 and Sept. 27) and will focus on air conditioning, refrigeration, furnaces and water heaters. On Sept. 27, there will be an omelet breakfast held at Domet- ic's 2320 Industrial Parkway location in Elkhart. The omelets will be individually prepared by Roberts and then guests are invited to join a tour of the refrigeration manufacturing facility. Just before the show, Dometic unveiled its improved ranges and cooktops for the upcoming season. In the improved lineup, every stove top has a sealed burner, which Dometic says is the perfect solution to a quick and easy clean-up without big messes. Also, the surface area has been increased by up to 30 percent and it has a new surface that prevents sliding. Additionally, the knobs have been designed as recess knobs that do not stick out as far to prevent accidentally being turned on if they are bumped against. These cooktops and ranges by Dometic are available in stain- less steel and black. These products also are available as part of the Dometic Signature Suite, which allows all appliances in the kitchen to match, similar to how they would at home. Lippert Components Lippert Components will introduce visitors to its new After- market Customer Service Center and Technical Training Institute. This new facility is 100 percent dedicated to Lippert's after- market customer base. LCI will be giving tours of this new facility at 408 S. Byrkit Dealers can enjoy a variety of dishes as well as complementary concerts during Dometic's Chillin' & Grillin' backyard BBQ event at the Wellfield Botanical Gardens in Elkhart.
