Also based in Austin, 360 Technologies is a distributor of HP Designjet equipment, supplies, and ser- vice. Founded by three partners in 1999, 360 is focused on selling and servicing new and refurbished HP Designjet wide-format plotters, and HP Laserjet printers and accessories. Its markets include both large and small businesses, government, education, service providers, and individuals. CAD Supplies says it welcomes customers, employees, and suppliers of 360 Technologies, and says the acquisition will better position it to serve not only its cli- ents in central Texas, but the rest of the Lone Star State and surrounding states. CAD Supplies Specialty—CS2 as it's known—was founded in Austin in 1996, and has since opened a second location in San Antonio. swissQprint's Nyala LED UV Printers Rated 'Excellent' for Energy Efficiency Switzerland-based large-format printer manufacturer swissQprint announces that Germany-based Fogra, the Research Institute for Media Technologies, has tested the company's Nyala series large-format LED UV printer, and gave it a rating of "excellent" based on ISO Standard 20690: 2018. According to swissQprint, this new ISO standard specifies methods for determining the energy con- sumption of digital printers and thus allows comparison of the operating costs and the ecological foot- prints of such machines. During the test, in order to model realistic system usage, the standardized measurement includes four different printer statuses. To ensure that results are consistent the experts used four different printing modes several times with a standardized print file. The "outstanding energy efficiency" certificate for Nyala implicitly applies to all other swissQprint machines that use LED curing due their similar con- struction, the company says. Insta Graphic Systems Partners with Graphics One Cerritos, California-based Insta Graphic Systems, a manufacturer of heat presses and heat transfers as well as thermal vinyl letters and numbers, announces a distribution agreement with Los Angeles-based Graphics One. The agreement encompasses the distribution of Insta's heat presses and covers "certain vertical market segments where Graphics One is heavily involved," says Insta Graphic, including the toner textile transfer segment. As part of the agreement, Wells explains that Graphics One will bundle Insta heat presses with printers such as the OKI Textile Transfer line, GO SubliMate printers, and with a variety of other industrial printers. Insta says its heat presses are available immediately via Graphics One's dye-sub and heat transfer sales channel. SloanLED Introduces 10-Year Product and Labor Warranty Ventura, California-based SloanLED, a supplier of indoor and outdoor LED products, announces a new, extended warranty on what it says are some of its most popular signage products. According to SloanLED, the industry standard for commercial LED light manufacturers is to offer a five- year warranty; it will now introduce a limited 10-year limited product and labor warranty on its LED prod- ucts, as well as adding a five-year labor assistance policy onto its existing five-year product warranty for its power supplies. As part of the rollout of the extended warranty, SloanLED has launched an online claim form where cus- tomers can file their warranty claims instantly.
