" In 6 0 d a y s w e r a i s e d a l m o s t $90,000," Finnegan says. "People could see the need for this closure for seniors." Being in the motorhome rental busi- ness, the Finnegans considered a four-day trip by combining charter buses and motorhomes. They planned their first trip for just 60 days later, for May 17-20, 2010. With the money they raised, they were able to schedule a caravan of nine motorhomes, three charter coaches and a support van, carrying 117 WWII veterans and eight Rosie the Riveters. "After that, we thought we'd go back to selling RVs, but the phone was ringing off the hook with people wanting to sign on for next year's event. We became a 501C3. Our attorney is a Korean War veteran. The next year we moved to include Korean vets as well as WWII veterans," Finnegan says. Veterans who arrived as part of the VetsRoll caravan tour World War II and Korean War memorials in Washington, D.C.
