Notably, the Salt Palace's 550,000 square feet of exhibit space is roughly half the size of the display space at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky., where RVIA hosted its annual show for the past 55 years. Crawford and Greene say the decision to select a venue with a smaller exhibit space footprint was deliberate, with a focus of having exhibitors highlighting their most recent and most innovative products – rather than showcasing their entire inventory. "It's smaller than Louisville, but that was the intent," Greene says. The Salt Palace is a smaller venue than Louisville's Kentucky Exposition Center, but RVIA officials say that's a good thing because exhibitors will limit product offerings to their newest models and it will create a more intimate feel on the show floor.
