JANUARY 2019 THE SHOP 39 system for the 2018 four-door Jeep Wran- gler, and we're excited to unveil it in this unique vehicle at the SEMA Show," says Mike Anderson of Alpine. A cabin setup built around the Alpine PSS-23WRA-powered system upgrade for 2018-up Wranglers that did not come with the factory Alpine premium sound system was also featured. This system consists of the PWE- S8-powered subwoofer, KTP-445U 4-channel compact amplifier, SPR-10TW 2-inch compo- nent tweeters and a remote bass knob. The subwoofer and amplifier are mounted under the front passenger's seat, while the tweeters fit into the factory locations. For the trail and tailgate party system, a 1,380-watt, second zone sound system is powered by two X-Series amplifiers—the 4-channel X-A70F and the mono X-A90M— mounted in the cargo area. Also in the cargo area is a PXE-0850S advanced wireless digital sound processor, which allows for proper sound tuning from the convenience of the compatible smartphone app. ROCK ON Rockford Fosgate unveiled three new, powered, loaded speaker enclosures at SEMA. The Punch Series P300-8P 8-inch, P300-10T 10-inch and P300-12T 12-inch are self-contained subwoofer enclosures with built-in amplifiers. Their impedance is optimized for the embedded 300-watt class-D amplifier that includes a low-pass crossover, bass EQ and phase switch. To make the installation easy, the slim enclosures can be connected via speaker level inputs to factory systems, or traditional line level inputs for aftermarket systems. They also feature an intelligent auto turn- on/off circuit that eliminates the need for a separate turn-on wire. The enclosures are precision-designed and constructed using MDF (medium density fiberboard) with a heat-activated vinyl finish to resist marks. They add bass to rides without additional sawdust or fabrication headaches around the shop. Meanwhile, Brandmotion has developed an innovative line of towing cameras in its Tow/Haul product lineup. Instead of one- or two-camera systems, Brandmotion offers 34 unique products for retailers to solve problems for customers who tow. The centerpiece is Brandmotion's new Auto-Connect integrated trailer camera system that auto-connects to the factory display of current GM, Ford and FCA vehicles without the need for an expen- sive interface. "It's a simple plug-and-play T-harness tailored to most current and late-model GM, Ford, or Chrysler/Dodge/Ram/Jeep display radios," says Jeff Varick, Brand- motion president. "No more suction cup monitors plugged into dash power ports that have been common with towing cam- eras up to now." For Jeep and off-road enthusiasts, the company is introducing integrated camera systems with DVRs. Brandmotion's new Brandmotion showed how fast the exterior camera market is progressing with sys- tems designed for towing. 4-Camera RockCrawler system features four cameras that record simultaneously for maximum footage on off-road adven- tures.
