A&E JANUARY 2019 • 39 Sublimation Outsourcing to companies that offer larger items, such as bathroom or kitchen mats, blankets, and other personalized sub- strates, can give you a boost in sales. The only work needed for you to do would be to supply the design. SELLING THE CONCEPT Taking the idea of customization to your customers can open up opportunities that they may not realize is even an option for them. Imagine helping them design a shower curtain, toothbrush holder, soap dispenser, bath mat, kitchen or bathroom tiles, and the list goes on. When you give people the ability to infuse their unique personal style, it allows them to become their own interior designer at an afford- able price. Marketing home décor with sublimation has never been easier. Let's take a look at some examples. Canvas: Using poly duck canvas and gallery wraps, you can create works of art to hang up that in the past would have been expensive to have someone else do. Accent Pillows: An easy way to incor- porate your customer's style at home is with accent pillows. Brightening up a couch, reading chair, or bed with pillows makes the space feel more homey and alive. Accent pillows are the perfect decora- tive accessory. They add color, pattern, tex- ture, and comfort to just about any space. They're also powerful — they can change the look and feel of a room instantly. If your customer wants to give a room a new look without replacing any of the major pieces, suggest sublimation throw pillows that you can create. Pillows happen to be my best seller. A lot of people like to swap them out as the seasons change. Being able to showcase a variety of different themes, such as holi- days, monograms, or seasons, personalized photo pillows can add so much to a home and your growing business. Set the Mood — Lamps: Bright lighting is essential when you're cooking, This lampshade is sublimated with a cheetah print using a 100 percent polyester fabric. Printed on a Mutoh RX900 and pressed on a GeoKnight 32-inch heat press, it was sublimated at 390 F for 60 seconds.
