In recent years the company has worked hard to penetrate the decorated apparel market, and we partnered with them to help showcase the smooth substrate. While several other companies were asked to participate in this project, we got to take advantage of an additional opportu- nity. They would be sending in a film crew to create video, print media, and other pro- motional materials. The imagery was up to us. To make the most of this PR spotlight, we needed to not only demonstrate the effectiveness of the printed garment, but we needed a great design to show it off. THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM In the early days, upper-class folks would have portraits taken representing privilege and status, portrayed in a distinguished manner in their reverence. To give this con- cept our own twist, we decided the head of an elephant, our namesake, on a human- like body would work. For a vintage look, we turned to travel posters from the '50s and '60s.
