A&E FEBRUARY 2019 • 73 Duane Jebbett Announces Retirement from Rowmark Rowmark announces that its president and CEO, Duane Jebbett, planned to retire at the start of the new year. On January 7, 2019, Jim Ellward took his place. Jebbett has led the Row- mark team as president since 1998. Although a bittersweet decision to retire, Jebbett and Kathy, his wife of 45 years, look forward to trav- eling, enjoying time with family, and going on new adventures together. "Anyone who knows Duane can be sure his retirement will be anything but relaxing," the company states in a press announcement. "I am deeply appreciative of the customers who have hon- ored Rowmark with their business and the countless relation- ships fostered over the years. I am truly blessed," Jebbett states. "We are thrilled to announce that Jim Ellward will join Rowmark as president and CEO. Jim brings a wealth of talent and experience to Rowmark and will help propel the company to new heights." Ellward is a Michigan native and attended Michigan State, where he attained a BA in Agriculture. For the last five and half years, Ellward has been president of TOPS Products, the office products division of LSC Communications. "One of the biggest reasons I decided to accept the position with Rowmark was their people and culture," Ellward states. "The business has been built the right way, and I'm excited to join the team, become a part of the Rowmark family, and grow together." Jebbett will continue to stay involved with the Rowmark Board of Directors, and will be available to Ellward through the transition. "Windjammer Capital and the Rowmark team thank Duane for his leadership, the unique company culture he worked to build, and the indelible mark he leaves on all of us. We wish Duane all the best in his retirement and welcome Jim as he becomes part of the Rowmark Family," the press announcement states. Crystal D Hires Two and Promotes One Crystal D, a supplier of corporate awards and gifts, hires two new employees and promotes one. The new hires are part of the customer service department. Matt Boyles and Dee Xiong were hired as order entry specialists. They are respon- sible for entering customer orders promptly and accurately before handing them over to the order managers. Tawauna Garner moves to the order manager role from her position as order entry specialist. She is responsible for ensuring orders move through the pro- duction process and works with customers once orders are in-house. "I'm excited to see the customer service team expanding due to growing sales," says Jake Calleja, customer service manager. "I'm confident that the additions to the cus- tomer service team will provide the same level of customer service as our existing team, all of whom are still with us. Our cus- tomers are in great hands." GSG Promotes Houston Operations Manager GSG promotes Mark Serna to operations manager of the company's Houston branch. Serna's career with GSG spans 10 years. Before his promotion, the company points out that Serna has served in "every operations position" at GSG. He comes to the role with a strong background in order pulling, receiving, and shipping sys- tems. Most recently, Serna headed up the Houston receiving department, overseeing stocking and organizing inventory. As operations manager, Serna's role will ensure the efficient and timely delivery of customers' orders from the warehouse through transit.
