Falk previously held the title of vice president of operations. During the past 15 years, LCI has acquired more than 45 companies within the RV, marine, and specialty vehicle markets. M&A has been a key growth component and a major contributor to the success of LCI during this time, the company stated. Falk, a 1996 graduate of Alma College, began his career with LCI immediately after graduating by entering LCI's Leadership in Training program. Falk has overseen the operations of multiple divisions of LCI during his tenure, being directly responsible for those divisions' P&L, personnel, leadership, and overall growth and sustainability. "I am excited to enter into this next chapter in my journey with LCI," said Falk. "I'm appreciative for this opportunity to be directly involved with adding new products, team members, and customers to LCI through the M&A process. We have a stellar track record with our M&A initiatives. I look forward to the challenges ahead as we continue to grow our business." Mereness Steps Down as LCI President Lippert Components has announced that Scott Mereness will be stepping down as president after 24 years with the company to pursue new entrepreneurial opportunities. Mereness will provide assistance to LCI to ensure a smooth transition. Going forward, it is expected that Jason Lippert will assume the title of CEO and president of LCI. Mereness started his career with LCI in 1994 in the LCI Leadership Training Program as a welder and rose through the ranks, holding numerous operational and execu- tive roles including general manager, COO, and eventually, president. Mereness was one of LCI's first hires in the Executive Lead- ership Training Program, under the leadership of Jason Lippert. Throughout his tenure, Mereness has helped grow the com- pany from a $120 million Midwestern supplier of primarily manufactured housing products into a more than $2 billion global supplier of a broad array of components for RVs, buses, trailers, pontoon boats, European caravans, and other special- ized vehicles. Falk Mereness Aqua-Hot Promotes Bustamante to Director of Manufacturing Aqua-Hot Heating Systems has promoted Jeremiah Bustamante to director of manufacturing. Formerly the production manager, Bustamante is the Frederick, Colo.-based company's most tenured employee. Bustamante began at Aqua-Hot in 1996 as an assembly technician. Working in various roles and departments pro- vided him the broad skill set needed to be successful in his current position, according to the company. A certified Lean Master through ISCEA, he has expertise in PFMEA, 5S methodology and other high-level manufac- turing processes. His primary responsibilities are overseeing the day-to-day operations of Aqua-Hot's production and shipping and receiving departments. Walex Hires Butler as RV/Marine Sales Manager Wilmington, N.C.-based Walex Prod- ucts has hired Tony Butler as its new RV and marine sales manager. "We are extremely excited to bring Tony into the Walex family. He will bring a wealth of knowledge from his 30 years in retail/sales. We have no doubt that he will be a valuable asset to Walex and our industry," President Bill Williams stated in a press release. Butler's background includes 30 years of surfing industry retail experience, including 14-1⁄2 years as a managing partner/ co-owner of Sweetwater Surf Shop in Wrightsville Beach, N.C. He also founded a local website in 2003, WBlivesurf.com, for avid surfers and beach enthusiasts. The past five years, Butler was the customer service manager for Global Surf Industries (GSI) where he managed international customer service and all U.S. online sales. Bustamante Butler
