"It's everything they need," Schrock says. "It's like having our corporate office in the cab of their vehicle." The transport company also has recently updated its online services for both dealers and manufacturers. "It's very robust, sharp, professional, user-friendly and content-rich, that's sort- able to their liking, so users can obtain full optics in real time on the commodities they're either shipping or receiving," says Braun, adding that documents, such as bill of lading, also are available for customers' personal use. "Everything is there. And it all circles back to servicing our customers as best we can. Hats off to our IT team for developing them." Standing by Standards As the RV industry began to boom in 2013 and 2014, there were multiple challenges facing segments up and down the RV supply chain – and Horizon wasn't immune. In 2016, Horizon moved into a new location that had been built by Holiday Rambler founder Richard Klingler, which was renovated in a project that took two years. All operations – recruiting, safety compliance, dispatch, accounting – are housed there. Horizon also has outlying yards, staffed during the day by one or two employees each, in California, Idaho, and Oregon, in addition to the seven yards in Indiana. Horizon's drivers can use a smartphone App, which provides the ability to select loads; submit paperwork; receive settlements; stay in compliance; communicate through video, news releases and push messages; submit photos of units when they're picked up or if there's been an accident.
