86 • RV PRO • March 2019 rv-pro.com would have revealed those to us before the start of our show season. Anything new that's revealed now, I probably won't order anyway. It would arrive too late in the season. "I've been going to Louisville since 2004. I've made a lot of good relationships with people, and when you have owners and managers there from all the manufacturers, it is your chance to sit down with them and discuss service and warranty issues and things like that. I'm going to be disappointed if I don't see some of those people at RVX." Brian Wilkins, president Wilkins RV Bath, New York "I'm going to go by myself this year to check it out. I can evaluate down the road what positions within the dealership need to be there. It is just a tough time of year for us to pull people out of the dealership. We're busy at the stores. "Being a first-time show, I don't know 100 percent what to expect. I'm really looking forward to going. It sounds like they've got some unique ideas and neat initiatives. It sounds like it's really meant to be a marketing event, which we could always use help with. "My expectation is that it's not a buying show. This show is about the industry and about how to grow the industry. There's going to be training initiatives that we can take advantage of. It sounds like there's going to be some training focused on marketing; how to market the industry and how to market our dealerships, which I think is great stuff. So, my expectation is that it is going to be more about how to grow your business than about buying product. "I'm interested in the Top Tech Challenge because I think that's a neat event to recognize a group of people that tend to be unsung heroes in our industry. That's not a new event, though, they launched it last year in Louisville. "RVIA has said they want this event to be about the industry, or to be an opportunity to market the industry. I don't know what bad could come of that. I understand that's the reason behind the timing. Having the industry marketed as we head into the camping season just makes sense."
