Price developed his initial, external system, to be set up by the RV owner at the campground. With his onboard system, he says many people are installing it themselves but, "if you're not sure what you're doing, you'd want a technician to do it." His company has signed deals with national distributor NTP-STAG. "We believe there's also a tremendous market for the OEMs to offer a premium filtration solution," Price says. "From our per- spective, it's a good starting point for a salesperson to say, 'Gee, we have a ClearSource water filtration system on this unit.' It's just one more selling point." NTP-STAG also is carrying the Acuvatech system, and Dentinger says he believes many RV dealerships are offering it through their parts departments. Any dealer interested in promoting the system can order pamphlets from the company. "Most of our promotion is done through influencers," he says. "We've found that people online who are making videos offering advice to RVers on how to maintain their units have embraced our products. We sell through our own website, as well." And, he adds, "Definitely, there's interest from the OEMs, too." Because of his previous ties to the RV industry, NDW's Szty- kiel is taking a more-comprehensive approach to the market. The words he uses are "low-key" and "disciplined." Noting that there are more than 10 million existing RV owners, the company is displaying product at a host of 2019 shows, starting with the Quartzsite, Ariz., consumer show. "We have one dealer who's going to a show in the Midwest where they'll be offering a free NDW system for every travel trailer purchased," Sztykiel says. He adds that NDW has only recently started sending out support materials to dealers. In the end, he says, "It's all about the water." ClearSource's Price agrees. He says as more people distrust their water supplies – at home or on the road – demand will only get stronger. "This market is going to grow with innovation," he says. "There are some really significant initiatives underway that will bring change and innovation to the RV water filtration market. There are some great things coming."
