"They are ones that are from this area and wanted to come to the show. So, they drove in and I think they're writing orders." The Mullins said they weren't necessarily surprised, but per- haps a little relieved to see the show get off to such a strong start with its preview opening Tuesday. Sales of motorhomes and fifth wheels may have slowed, but that means people are holding onto their existing units longer. Those existing units will need repairs and upgrades, which means the aftermarket could see a strong year, Andy Mullin said. Vendors & Partners As with any distributor show, sponsors also are a key to success. Winegard and Progress Mfg. were the VIP sponsors for Arrow. And a number of vendors also took part in the second annual Poker Run competition that ran throughout the second day of the show. Each participating supplier hosted an hour during the day where dealers could come to the booth to collect an oversized playing card. Combining the cards throughout the day resulted in a poker hand. In addition to receiving playing cards to complete a poker hand, dealers were able to secure special pricing during the hour each booth hosted the Poker Run. Other prize giveaways were held throughout the day, including a three-day fishing trip to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., hosted by Star brite. But perhaps the most successful partnership on display at the Arrow show was that with TradeWyz Order Management.
