S I G N & D I G I T A L G R A P H I C S • May 2019 • 23 The first in a series of public art installations, the Hacienda Horse and Rider sign was restored and installed at the inter- section of Fremont St. and Las Vegas Blvd. in 1996. As Las Vegas grew, neon signs with movement attracted the crowds. We're goin' to the chapel, and we're gonna get married… After operating for 48 years the Stardust Resort and Casino was imploded; reduced to dust. Luckily, these "Atomic" letters were removed beforehand and delivered to the museum for safekeeping.
