"The first exit off Route 4 is obviously Exit 1," he says. "There used to be a sign there that said Exit 1, but the state took that down. My grandfather said, 'If I'd known they were going to take that sign down, I wouldn't have named it Exit 1.' But it's still fitting." The dealership carries new Starcraft travel trailers and fifth wheels and recently added Coachmen Catalina, Freedom Express, and Chaparral models. Exit 1 doesn't sell motorhomes unless they come in on a trade, Zack Holzworth says. The Holzworths stick to entry-level and mid-level travel trailers and fifth wheels, as those units best suit the needs of the dealership's buyers, he says. "That's where we're comfortable. We don't want to stock the $200,000, $250,000 fifth wheels. We don't really have that market," he adds. On the other hand, he says, people don't often come in asking for a pop-up trailer. "They want the 40-foot fifth wheel with the front living room, island kitchen, king bed in the back," Zack Holzworth says. "You look at campers from the '80s and '90s and you wonder, 'How did that sell?'" Most of those campers didn't even have slide-outs.
