12 THE SHOP JUNE 2019 SKETCHBOOK PROJECT VEHICLE AMG E 63 S WAGON 1975 FORD BRONCO 2018 CHEVROLET COLORADO Michigan-based Gentex Corp. unveiled a customized, Michigan- themed 2018 Chevy Colorado designed and equipped to highlight all the state has to offer that debuted at the 2018 SEMA Show. Gentex decked-out the truck with a vehicle wrap that depicts various aspects of the Michigan landscape, including the Great Lakes, Pictured Rocks, waterfalls, sand dunes, white pine forests, hiking trails and more. The design also incorporates the iconic Mackinac Bridge, which spans the state's two peninsulas, and a highly stylized adaptation of Michigan's state crest across the hood. When it comes to camping, the vehicle has everything including the kitchen sink, as well as a fully integrated refrigerator/freezer, pull-out stove and remote-controlled roof-mounted tent. Because Michigan is known for its craft breweries, the truck also includes a built-in YETI jockey box that cools and dispenses microbrew from a keg mounted discretely under the vehicle. Showcased Gentex products include the company's Full Display Mirror (FDM) rear vision system and HomeLink car-to- home automation system. Participants include: Nitto Tire U.S.A. (35-inch Ridge Grappler tires); Black Rhino Wheels (Arsenal rims); FOX (2.5 remote-reservoir coil-overs, part of a 7-inch lift); MBRP (cat-back exhaust system); S&B Filters (cold air intake); TRIFECTA Performance (Advantage digital powertrain tuner); Addictive Desert Designs (HoneyBadger bumpers, side steps); Leitner Designs (Active Cargo System); and DECKED (truck bed storage box). RAW Motorsports led the charge to complete a second round of modifications on DRIVEN360's classic 1975 Ford Bronco. Eleanor's Big Brother features several all-new extensive modifications that debuted at the 2018 SEMA Show in the Nexen Tire booth. Created as the ultimate off-road vehicle built for everything from trail riding to full-on rock crawling, the Bronco was designed, built and launched by Zero to 60 Designs from the ground up for the 2016 SEMA Show. Now for round two, the Bronco has taken on an evolution geared for off-roading. Key features and improvements include a custom-fabricated off-road roll cage built by RAW Motorsports, and a completely redesigned dashboard that complements an off-road lifestyle. Participants include: Nexen Tire (Roadian MTX Off- Road 37x12.50 tires); Grid Off-Road Wheels; and LINE-X (sprayed roof and doors). AWE, the precision engineering firm based outside of Philadelphia, has released its new exhaust line for the W213 AMG E 63 S Wagon, and a full gallery reveal of the development car featuring Michelin and Forgeline products. "AWE has deep respect for the capabilities of the German-bred V-8 platform—these are our roots," said Jesse Kramer, AWE VP. "The sports wagon is a category that AWE has always loved, dating back to our B5 and B7 Audi S4 wagons. When it comes to the alpha male of the current wagon market, there's no better than the AMG E 63. And the exhaust, wheels and tires take this beast of a wagon to a new level." AWE teamed with Forgeline to equip the E 63 with a wheel style that would be complementary to the wagon's streamlined aesthetic, deciding upon ZH1 wheels sizes 21x9 (front) and 21x10 (rear). Michelin suggested its newly released Pilot Sport 4S tires in sizes formerly unavailable to the U.S. market. The AMG features AWE's signature livery in gloss black and the company's SwitchPath exhaust system.
