Until last fall, freshwater tanks were typically 100-gallon capacity and gray and black tanks were either 40/40 or 50/50. The models now have 120-gallon freshwater holding tanks and 80-gallon tanks for gray water and 40 gallons for black. "People were blown away. We heard over and over, 'It's about time,'" Daily says. Other changes for 2020 include new interiors, more over- head storage, optional wine coolers on some units and greater solar power features. PCW began building model year 2020 units in February. PCW has the largest stand-alone factory (150,000 square feet) in the region and a labor force that fluctuates between 120 and 250. PCW's production employment was at the low point when Daily spoke with RV PRO, but he still sees a silver lining all the same. "We've been fortunate to be working five days a week," he says, adding, "Most important to me, we try to keep our wait time to no more than four weeks." All units are pre-sold to dealers and finished units seldom sit on transporters' lots for more than a day or two before they are delivered, he adds. His dealer body numbers 100 and just recently expanded with a dealer in Texas. In summary, Daily says, "Fortunately, Pacific Coachworks is currently outperforming the market and we'll continue in our efforts to keep it that way."
