S I G N & D I G I T A L G R A P H I C S • September 2019 • 27 This box contains all the parts to make the many picture frames, each one consisting of two rectangles of black acrylic and one clear acrylic lens. The main frame members were of 3/16" acrylic and the inner retainer frames and lenses were of 1/8" acrylic, which would be carefully glued together. A two-frame jig was cut on the laser from yellow 1/8" acrylic to allow assembling of two frames at a time. Small tabs of white acrylic define the placement of the two overlapping rectangles of black acrylic, and the weld glue used was applied spar- ingly. Though there were many parts, it was easy work for our Trotec 120-watt laser.
