Breaking the Cotton and Color Barrier with Siser EasySubli Vinyl E ach day, new products and tech- niques are being introduced that bring excitement and electricity to the universe of sublimation decorating. Rarely, however, does a development come along that actually electrifies two different, yet neighboring, universes. Revolutionary to both the sublimation and heat-applied vinyl universes, the latest development to come along is Siser's EasySubli heat transfer vinyl (HTV). A SHORT HISTORY OF EASYSUBLI HTV According to Siser, its direct-print sub- limation vinyl was developed as a result of its recent partnership with Sawgrass. Their partnership has introduced exciting new decorating opportunities to the sublima- tion community while bringing full-color graphics and thousands of new products to the heat-applied vinyl community. In my opinion, the heat-applied vinyl community is uniquely positioned to profit from this innovation since they already have most of the prerequisites for success: an existing business, a cutter, a heat press, and graphics software knowledge. An inexpensive sub- limation printer with inks is all they need to jump in. 8 a-e-mag.com • A&E OCTOBER 2019 By David Gross David Gross is the president of Condé Systems, Inc.
