Augusta Sportswear Acquires Pacific Headwear AUGUSTA, Ga.—Au- gusta Sportswear Brands announces the acquisition of Pacific Headwear. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The acquisition grows Augusta´s multiline portfolio, which also includes Augusta Sportswear, Holloway, High Five, and an exclusive partner- ship with Russell Athletic for team uniforms and performance apparel. "Building our portfolio of brands strategically to accelerate growth is a key priority," says Dave Elliott, CEO of Augusta Sportswear Brands. "The acquisi- tion of Pacific Headwear enables us to provide our customers with a compel- ling head-to-toe solution that delivers on our commitment to be a one-stop solution for our customers." "For 20 years, Pacific Headwear has worked diligently to grow our com- pany and portfolio of winning team and lifestyle headwear products to posi- tion ourselves as an innovative leader in the marketplace," adds Don DeZarn, founder of Pacific Headwear. "Today's announcement is an exciting step for our organization as we look to combine the strengths of our two companies to create synergistic opportunities for our employees, vendors, and ultimately, our customers." In addition to the growth of Augusta's portfolio, the acquisition brings more than 200 employees from Pacific Headwear to the company's ranks. HanesBrands and BIC Unveil Apparel Partnership WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.—BIC Graphic NA and HanesBrands announce a new partnership which adds apparel to the promotional products supplier's lineup. The agreement also marks the return of Hanes' promotional Gear for Sports apparel line. "At HanesBrands we value environmental stewardship and corporate citi- zenship as much as we are committed to providing comfortable garments for our customers," says Rachel Newman, vice president and general manager of HanesBrands Activewear. "We are excited to partner with BIC Graphic, a leader in responsible sourcing and ethical business practices, to expand our network within the promotional products industry." As part of the partnership, BIC says it has collaborated with Hanes to "eliminate pain points that distributors typically experience when ordering promotional apparel." The setup includes what BIC describes as a "simple" pricing strategy and centralized shipping. The two companies also plan to use only approved printers for garment decoration to maintain quality control. Epson Opens Solution Center at Prepress Supply LONG BEACH, Calif.—Epson announces the opening of another Epson Certified Solution Center. The location is inside of Prepress Supply's offices in Fountain Valley, California. "The Epson Solution Center is an ideal fit for Prepress Supply given their focus on creating relationships, providing great customer service, and offering up-to-date product knowledge," John Meyer, director of sales, Wide Format Channel, Epson America, says. "Epson is committed to helping our print service provider partners create an engaging and interactive space where their customers can experience advanced print technologies." The center provides customers with a full suite of SureColor production equipment, print samples and applications, and comprehensive customer training opportunities. "(The Solution Center) further allows our West Coast customers access to explore new technologies and see real-time answers for today's digital work- flow solutions," says Mark Bitzer, president and CEO of Prepress Supply. "This new space will allow current and potential customers the ability to get hands- on with the full range of Epson's award-winning wide-format printing products and falls right in line with our core value of helping our customers grow in their business." The website allows customers to order direct-to- garment printing products and stay up to date with important changes and announcements regarding printers and equip- ment.
