NOVEMBER 2019 THE SHOP 41 This doesn't mean I completely eliminate truck builds for the city, however, because out-of-region customers can always find a package they want while searching the internet and may be willing to drive into town to get it. Use this to your advantage to get a dealership to try a build. Once you understand the regions, have researched the spread of the base model to the fully loaded trim model, and recognize the demand for various products, you can then look to fine-tune your packages with additional details. For instance, consider the exterior color you want to use (black or white exteriors often sell faster than red or blue), and if you're installing a leather package, be sure to properly match the interior, especially if it's a two-tone. Serving as a profit solution for your dealerships while saving customers money will help your business grow, especially when you have vehicles inside dealership showrooms. Make sure not to overload the vehicles with too many accessories so that it would price itself above a fully loaded vehicle from the factory. Dealers need us more than ever, so under- standing the power of packages will allow you to walk into the manager's office as the expert. Once they see you are helping them add oh-so-valuable profits, they will become a trusted customer for life.
