The opportunities for growth in the laser engraving industry continue to remain strong as businesses use this technology to embellish a variety of substrates. That's why it's important to take a look at this annual survey, which exam- ines the various aspects of the laser engraving market. With these results, it is our hope that you can better build and expand your laser engraving busi- ness and increase profits. SURVEY METHODOLOGY This survey was conducted in July 2019 via electronic mail through Sur- veyMonkey.com and complied with all CAN SPAM act laws and the NBM privacy policy (http://www.nbm.com/ privacy-statement). Respondents were selected from the A&E and Sign & Dig- ital Graphics subscriber databases, and all survey recipients were provided the same version of the survey. These businesses are primarily involved in awards, trophies, custom- ization, personalization, commercial and architectural signage, and outdoor advertising. For the purposes of this survey, laser engraving businesses are defined as those shops and indi- viduals that offer personalized and/or customized laser engraved products or services. A total of 300 responses were received and no less than 41 responses were received on any one question. Some survey totals equal more than 100 percent because readers check all of the categories that apply. All statis- tics and statements found in this report are based upon survey findings except where noted. Published: September 2019.
