With DTG, print- ers can print those five or six extra shirts for the client without having to waste extra labor hours, setting the press back up and making sure the screens are registered. "You can make a DTG print that closely matches the original screen-printed T-shirt, and is done in minutes," Rumbaugh adds. "Problem solved, money earned." To that end, shops can also use the DTG printer before they start a screen-printing job for similar purposes. If a client is looking for a mockup of their design, decorators can easily print off a single shirt with the printer and avoid having to go through the trouble of burning a screen, setting up a press, and pulling ink. Keeping it clean When it comes to setting up the machine, shops can approach the humidity temperance in a few ways. If they're on a smaller budget and tight on production space decorators can keep the printer in the office area.
