64 • A&E NOVEMBER 2019 EXPERT ADVICE Short on time? You can still get good advice! Check out these quick tips from A&E's panel of experts for some easy things you can do to keep things running smoothly. "Some colors of laserable metal leave a little color after it is lasered. I lasered blue metal at 600 DPI and tested three cleaners: paint thinner, De-Sol-It, and SD-20. The best results were from SD-20, which was extremely clean. De-Sol-It provided acceptable results, and paint thinner was not acceptable to me. SD-20 is made by Spartan Chemical Company Inc. You can get it from JDS Industries and yes, it works on metal mugs as well. It does not leave a film and has little odor." —Bob Hagel, Eagle's Mark Awards & Signs "An interesting characteristic to live by: 'The reason why men who mind their own business succeed is because they have so little competition.'" —Steve Capper, A-1 Awards Inc.
