A Power Player in Composite Materials Crane Composites, a subsidiary of Crane Co., is a global provider of fiber-reinforced composite panels. It operates in three market segments: RVs, building products and transportation. RVs is the biggest division. Crane Composites manufactures six primary RV product categories and is the only manufacturer with the capability of supplying customers from all of these categories. Cheney says that's a major differentiator for the company. Crane manufactures its RV panels at its facilities in Goshen, Ind., and Jones- boro, Ark. Cheney describes the products built in Goshen as sheet glass, which is a high-end panel used in motorized units or high-end fifth wheels.
