Unfortunately, with many products such as vinyls, as well as some polyurethanes, the topcoat can be quite rigid. Add in resins or other color additives and the resulting material has a very hard, rough feel. By comparison, Swan says DKK utilizes a wet process that involves four separate production steps that can be described by the Japanese word "Takumi", which translates loosely into "artisan". The mill's careful and deliberate production approach creates fabrics of unparalleled softness.
