A&E JANUARY 2020 • a-e-mag.com 43 Sublimation One of the advantages of using Cre- ativeStudio is you don't have to have prior graphics experience to use the software, nor do you have to learn other applications like Photoshop or CorelDRAW, which can be frustrating to someone without experience. TEMPLATES One of the many benefits of Cre- ativeStudio is the substrate templates that are included to simplify your design work. Often people struggle with creating the right size images for a mug, tumbler, or other odd-shaped substrates. Having sub- limation templates built into the software takes the guesswork out of sizing and gives you a jumpstart on creating your design. With CreativeStudio, most of the ven- dors' substrate templates are included in the software and ready for a design to be added. If you wonder why that is important, let me explain. When you are creating a design for a substrate, say, one that is a cone-shape for a latte mug, sizing the graphic to wrap around correctly can be a major chal- lenge, let alone the frustration of being able to place your text in the right posi- tion. CreativeStudio takes the guesswork out of the equation and simplifies what could be a complicated process. Another advantage is a preview fea- ture, which allows you to see what the finished product should look like and if it is what you had envisioned when you started. Step three. (See page 45 for more information.) Step four. Step five. Step six. Step seven: these are the steps needed to add matching colors from your image for text.
