Trotec Laser Acquires Engravers Network Trotec Laser announced that the company acquired the assets of laser distributor Engravers Network. The acquisition was effective immediately and gives the laser manufacturer opportunities to extend its market reach and broaden the services and support for new and existing customers, according to a press release. Trotec is an international provider of laser equipment for cutting, engraving, and industrial marking. Located in Arlington, Texas, Engravers Network is a distributor of lasers and mechanical marking and engraving systems, and also provides accessories and supplies, training, technical support, and used laser and engraving equipment. Since the business was started in 1985, Engravers Network offers a broad range of solutions and support in the laser industry. "We are thrilled about this partnership and the benefits it will provide to customers," says Warren Knipple, president at Trotec Laser. "Engravers Network brings valuable experience and knowledge to the table that will broaden our resources so we can provide our customers with the highest quality products, and the best technical, operational, and applications support." Knipple says that Engravers Network and Trotec are a great match because the two companies share a common vision and approach: to help customers succeed and grow by offering a complete range of products, services, and support. Trotec plans to maintain the laser distributor's physical locations in Arlington and Houston, Texas, where members of the Engravers Network staff will continue to support existing and new customers. The new site is intended to allow easier access to the variety of features, from shopping for products to watching videos, according to Sawgrass. The company tells A&E that the goal of the website is to empower entrepreneurs, attract potential sublimation users, and educate them on the benefits of running their own business. "Our position is very much one of prioritizing our users, whether that means providing easy access to software and support for day-to-day operations or learning how to harness their greatest potential to grow a profitable and sustainable business," says Vik Patel, director of business development at Sawgrass. "We've been intentional about communicating with our users via conversations, surveys, and web analytics to really understand how we can best use our digital presence to help educate and grow their business." Sawgrass' in-house marketing team began work on the new site at the start of 2019. The process to design the new site started off with multiple surveys and conversations with users and dealers to find out what they liked about the current site and what they'd want from a new one. Patel explains that through the collected data, Sawgrass found that its users want an easier-to-navigate site and more efficient access to the necessary tools.
