With the groundswell of popularity for what are known as Day 2 muscle cars, the opportunity for trade professionals to cash in on this trend grows every day. Today, many of those who grew up with muscle cars are reliving their lost youth by adding many of the same parts and acces- sories that they did back in the 1960s and '70s. Many of these once youthful enthu- siasts are now senior citizens and cannot always do their own work, but they still want to have a smokin' hot muscle car, just like they had when they were young. Since everything in this story focuses on bolt-on performance, the vehicle turnover rate for a professional shop is very fast. Instead of long-term builds or restorations, which can often last for a year or longer, each of the mods showcased here can be done in just one or two working days. Additionally, just like in the 1960s, one upgrade inevitably leads to another, cre- ating repeat business from satisfied cus- tomers. In many cases, not only will the shop benefit by the installation of the parts, the customer will also need some new parts, creating a second revenue stream.
