"Crystal plaques are a timeless piece and desirable due to the large engraving area they provide," Barboza states. She goes on to state that now colored glass plaques are also becoming a showstopper. "The corporate awards (customer) focus is the size of the award, uniqueness of the award, and money is usually no object," Garcia adds. What that means for the awards retailer is that they must not only stay abreast of what's popular, but also have a large selection of items to offer. In addition to glass and crystal, she mentions that your personalization shop should also offer acrylic, wood, resin, and metal awards. Having a variety of products in stock allows you to sell to every corporate cus- tomer, believes Barboza. "Oftentimes (buyers) stick to the same award in order to continue tradition. Others like to switch it up and try something new," she points out. "With plenty of awards in varying styles, shapes, size, and materials, there will always be an award that fits their needs." Crystal awards and plaques remain a staple item for the corporate customer due to crystal's elegance and high-end value.
