Data from Statistical Surveys showing that the niche heavy diesel segment was the only category of Class A motorhomes to end up for 2019 (if only modestly) was bolstering the spirits of some leading players within that segment as the new year began. Currently, representatives for some builders in this segment report they are benefitting from a strong economic tailwind for consumers looking at these luxurious motorhomes. Still, if the overall market for this niche product is somewhat flat this year (as many expect it to be), then the quest to gain market share will be more important than ever. RV PRO spoke with representatives for three leaders in this segment for their insights into how they plan to beat the compe- tition this year and beyond.
