"Our booth was focused on lifestyle and connecting end users with activities our brands and products allow them to par- ticipate in," he says. "It highlights recently launched products, and is accompanied by video loops featuring lifestyle, product photography and product animation." And, to reach younger RVers – as well as those involved in other outdoor activities – the company is spreading its lifestyle message through social media influencers to provide information and product reviews. Knowledge may not be the product line, but in the end, both Sorensen and Gohl say Horizon Global's customers benefit from its mix of brands, and its global presence. "Many of our customers value infor- mation on new vehicles trends and how that's impacting towing capacities, for instance," Sorensen says. "Being a global organization, knowing the market from a global perspective helps us also see what new trends or products are on the market. We're able to offer that information to our customers to help them grow their businesses as well as ours." For instance, Gohl says the company sees a big shift in the towing market. "People are going from passenger cars to SUVs, CUVs and trucks," he says. "That's to match their lifestyle objec- tives, and so both hitches and towing accessories that provide cargo-type man- agement are growing exponentially, and we see a tremendous opportunity for their expansion." Based on those observations, Brzez- inski says the company will be releasing a new Draw-Tite Euro hitch that will be available in June, which he describes as being a hitch only when you need it. "On some vehicles, like luxury SUVs, they only want the receiver visible when they need it for a cargo basket, bike rack or when they're doing some light towing," Brzezinski says. "We'll attach a cross- member tube to the fame of the vehicle as the permanent towing structure, but the receiver itself is removable." For Gohl, it's just another example of Horizon Global's ability to pursue business opportunities on several fronts. "We're focused on defining our oppor- tunities and then having the right product at the right place at the right time," he says. "I'm understating the opportunities to leverage all our products, but our com- mitment and our mission is to again be the absolute best in the design, development, manufacturing and distribution of all our brands."
