GP: SPEAKING OF FUTURE EVENTS, GIVEN THE CURRENT STATE AND EFFECTS OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WHAT CAN SHOPS DO TO PROPERLY ADJUST AND REBUILD ONCE SHELTER-IN- PLACE LAWS ARE LIFTED? MORRISON: I do believe that being ready for the ramp-up is imperative. Many companies will not be ready for fulfillment as they are anticipating a very slow build, but I think the op- posite will occur. Shows will resched- ule, companies will need last-minute booth work, and if a company is not ready, they will lose that business. We have seen over 100 second-quarter shows reschedule for the third and fourth quarter of this year, so that means thousands of companies will be exhibiting. Be ready for the op- portunity—well stoked and manned when the gates open. GP: HOW CAN EXHIBIT SIGNAGE BE USED DURING CRISES SUCH AS THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC? MORRISON: Be flexible; create cus- tom (different than anyone else) sig- nage that makes a point but creates a reaction. Repurposing the shop is a great way to keep equipment mov- ing that's deemed as essential and to keep people busy and not collecting unemployment. Floor graphics, wall vinyl, and window perf are some great ways to assist businesses who are either staying open due to being labeled essential or are currently lo- cated in states that are beginning to reopen. Creating a custom product that the masses can use now is a great way to bump the bottom line and get noticed, earn that business, and per- haps you may be able to get the POP/ exhibit booth business as well (see previous answer). GP WHILE YOU MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO CURRENTLY ATTEND A TRADE SHOW, THERE ARE PLENTY OF VIRTUAL "EXHIBITS" THAT YOU CAN CHECK OUT VIA THE NBM SHOW BREAKAWAY SESSIONS.
