But the RV Dealers Association has provided a wealth of supporting information and doc- uments to help dealers keep their businesses going. Early in the pro- cess, RVDA provided guidance to those dealers who hoped to take advantage of the federal Paycheck Protection Program that provided loans to help busi- nesses meet payrolls. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act provides loan forgiveness if the borrower meets certain criteria. RV Learning Center's Tony Yerman also provided information to help dealers protect their employees and customers during the outbreak. Other resources helped dealers better understand how to conduct sales online, how to conserve available cash and how to plan effectively for resuming full ser- vices once the all-clear has been given for businesses to resume regular activities. In addition, in early May, RVDA joined with RVIA and ARVC to create an RV Industry Relaunch Task Force to help increase dealer sales and campground stays nationwide. The task force is focused on improving the ability of industry segments to do business across the country. It will also lay the groundwork for Go RVing promo- tional messages to position RV travel as a responsible outdoor recreation option as the nation emerges from the pandemic. The association also has been active in its advocacy efforts, including pressing for California Gov. Gavin Newsom to allow private RV parks and campgrounds to reopen.
