The whisperings of re-openings, relaxing of shelter-in-place mandates, the thump of a "Closed" sign being flipped to "Open"? For what has been nearly the majority of 2020, the world has experienced something unprecedented, and the graphics industry has not been immune. But I'm not surprised at the stories of hope, survival, and community that have blossomed from what feels like such a terrible event. Why? Because this industry is tough, solid, and flexible. It's an industry that's special. As we begin to move into this next phase where businesses re-open, when people start to emerge from their homes, and when shops start to regain some sense of normalcy, it's hard to predict what the future might hold. Our first big pivot came when things were shut down, when events were canceled, and we survived that. It's likely we'll experience yet another pivot, but we're ready for that one, too. As we embrace summer, holidays, and all the things this time of year brings with a new set of guidelines, don't forget to turn through all the pages of this magazine. This month focuses in on Specialties—what is it that makes you stand out? In this time of regrowth, you will find coverage across a multitude of technologies and business tips that will help you shine and get the customers you want and need. WANT TO KNOW MORE?
