G-SHIELD formed, and employees have a chance to give input on design and manufacturing, according to Corrigal. "Together, we all talk about what we're trying to do, so that they understand what we're trying to do," he says. "That's another really cool thing about what we do here – getting the employees involved in it because it's not us against them. We're all in this together." Department names even reflect that attitude. For example, there's not a human resources office at LTV; it's instead called "People and Culture". "Culture is really a big thing for us," he says. "You're not in business in a small town like Winkler, since 1965, if you don't keep your people engaged." Every morning, each department gathers around a whiteboard for a five-minute meeting to offer ideas to make things better. One request may be for brighter light at a workstation, while another be for a new screwdriver. Employee lounges also have monitors detailing on what's going on within the company, and "lunch-and-learns" feature a speaker on various topics that might not even be RV-related. "We just launched a training program for our sales staff. It's called our Diamond Certification Program," he says. "We have over 60 training videos. They have to watch each video, which is between 10 and 15 minutes long, and then they have to answer 10 to 20 questions on that particular topic. It's looks like a uni- versity training program." Due to the coronavirus, virtual training was a must. "COVID-19 has prevented our sales department from going to dealers to visit, so we had to go more online. Now we're doing some webinars and we're going to do more of that," Corrigal says. "We used to be at each of our dealerships three to four times a year. We just might not have that luxury anymore." New assembly line hires go through extensive training before ever doing any production work. For example, a future welder might not start in that department, Corrigal says, because the first goal is to ensure the new hire gets acclimated to LTV's culture. Once aboard, though, employees get a variety of benefits. A popular one: When Winkler hosts a town fair, Triple E rents the fairground a day before it opens so its people can attend. At last year's event, each child age 16 and under of an LTV family member received a free bike. Says Corrigal, "We just have to make sure our customers are happy, make sure our dealers are happy, and make sure our employees are happy."
