I know manufacturers hear the same questions and promises again and again, and I can't imagine being on that side of it, understanding that out of the 3,000 leads they generate throughout the week, only 50 of them are probably worth pursuing further. This year is going to be different, though! Whether you join an exhibitor's virtual presentation or schedule something private, every meeting should be top-notch, with a lot of enthusiasm. Nobody is worried about getting to the airport, catching a taxi or finding something to eat for lunch. So, I am looking forward to having some great discussions with top-tier representatives that are truly engaged. GOAL #3 – BE INVOLVED! Being able to meet and talk to others is as valuable as any other part of the yearly SEMA Show, and virtual offerings should improve this experience as well. All the parties and gatherings will be at your fingertips, so don't miss out on the chance to join a council or network's social hour or open meeting. In many ways it should be easier this year to engage and get an idea on where your part of the industry is headed. Also, don't be shy and just be a sponge—listen and tell others what challenges your business is facing or, better yet, the successes that you are having. The more we can all help each other during these unusual times the better we all will be in the long run. After all, we say that SEMA is a big, happy family—now is the time to prove it! Set your goals of what you want to accomplish for 2021 and then make it happen. Take advantage of this year's virtual offerings, and hopefully next year we'll all be in Vegas together again.
