56 THE SHOP NOVEMBER 2020 2020 PROJECT VEHICLE SKETCHBOOK 1935 Series 90 Buick Hearse Limo John Wargo of The Custom Shop in Flanagan, Illinois sends details on a 1935 Series 90 Buick Hearse build that became a unique limo. Owner Keith Goggin bought it at a museum auc- tion and started with a new chassis featuring IFS with coil-overs, a Heidts IRS system and Wilwood brakes. Power comes from a 502-ci big-block Chevy and Bowler Per- formance 4L65E transmission. The Custom Shop then went to work on the sheet metal and body, finishing with a Candy Brandy Wine custom paint job. Upgrades include tinted glass, sound deadening, Vintage Air system, custom interior with third-row seating added, Sony audio system, 17-inch Artillery wheels with whitewalls, large LED head- lights and LED taillights. 1973 Volkswagen Van Jeremy Katz of JK Automotive Designs in Stoneham, Massachu- setts, wants to know who's thirsty after a 1973 VW custom job for local business Capers Catering that transformed the classic van into a functional open-air bar for wedding parties and private events. Capers purchased the van in November 2019, with a deadline of April 2020. JK Auto quickly sent the van out for sandblasting and rust repair, then worked closely with Back Bay Customs of Portland, Maine to design and fabricate the clamshell roof and tackle metal work and paint. Once back to JK in March, the team finalized the interior and finish work for an on-time delivery prior to Capers' first wedding party. The project was later introduced at a debut party in May in Boston. 2020 ROUSH Ranger ROUSH Performance has announced the release of its 2020 ROUSH Ranger, bringing ROUSH signature body components, suspension and performance upgrades, as well as exclusive interior treatments to the Ford Ranger pickup.
