Custom Cabinets Shelby GT500CR Classic Recreations recently unveiled a heritage Shelby GT500CR carbon fiber concept car that has gone into limited pro- duction. Dubbed the Carbon Edition, only 25 of these supercars will be delivered by the company at the Shelby American facility in Las Vegas. "We're excited that the world's first carbon fiber-bodied heritage Shelby GT500CR has moved from dream to reality; a true inspiration for future models" said Jason Engel, founder, co-owner and lead designer at Classic Recreations. The reimagined American muscle car moves the iconic 1967 Shelby GT500 into the 21st century. Working with SpeedKore Perfor- mance Group, Classic Recreations directed the process to create the woven carbon fiber bodies using original Shelby molds. The cars will be powered by a Stage 2 Whipple-supercharged Ford 5.0L Coyote engine mated to a TREMEC 6-speed manual transmission. Highlights include an adjustable coil-over suspension, tubular subframe connectors, high-performance Wilwood brakes, roll bar and hydraulic steering rack, stainless steel MagnaFlow performance exhaust, American Racing forged wheels, Michelin Z-rated tires and an Alcantara headliner and console. Land Rover Defender HIMALAYA presents its newest Land Rover Defender, a special-edition custom build inspired by the 70th anniversary of one of the world's most celebrated 4x4 designs. "Over its seven decades of existence, the Defender has unequivocally become one of the best trucks ever made, with a design that collectors all over the world have appreciated driving on- and off-road," says Greg Shondel, president. "As the Defender celebrates 70 years of existence, HIMALAYA wanted to craft a custom truck that pays homage to Land Rover's 70th anniversary Defender design while also minimizing some of the compromises to performance and comfort when it comes to classic restorations." Outfitted with a new 525-hp LS3 engine, the new HIMALAYA 70th anniversary custom Defender also includes a 6-speed automatic; lowered, sport-tuned suspension with FOX shocks; improved handling package with roll cage; front and rear skid plates; 18-inch alloy wheels; BFGoodrich A/T KO2 all-terrain tires; interactive touchscreen dashboard complete with Bluetooth, USB and HDMI capabilities; high-intensity LED markers; heated seats; tint and more.
