The Pro-Touring market just keeps racing along. Modern conveniences tucked away in classic vehicles offer drivers the best of both worlds—nostalgia and performance. It's no wonder you'll find these vehicles everywhere, from the strip and autocross track to cruise-ins and car shows (COVID- 19-permitting, of course!) Manufacturers now have more than a decade of strong sales to review the market, offer sales tips for shops and reflect on past successes. GOING STRONG It's easy to see that the Pro-Touring market is a hit with consumers and builders. "For the past 10 years, the development of aftermarket performance products has been synonymous with the evolution of the Pro-Touring genre. Every product cat- egory has seen major advancements," says Alex Ortega, director of business develop- ment for AERO Exhaust. "In the exhaust category, it's no longer uncommon to see builders use fully TIG-welded, 304 stain- less steel exhaust systems. Again, this is driven by the enthusiasts' desire to use high-quality components that deliver per- formance and functionality." And all ages are getting in on the act.
