But the ones with an odd shape, scanning it into one's computer and then using the Quick Select tool in Photoshop allows one to quickly create a tem- plate to use for designing. Creating a Template For this demonstration, I will use a heart-shape slate frame from Condé Systems. There isn't a template available on their site, so I will use the scanning method. It is helpful to know your di- mensions to ensure that your template is correct. With this ex- ample, the rectangle shape is 9.8" X 7 1/2". Step five in the template design.
