We don't do re-lamination, but we can rebuild a stick-and-tin unit from scratch. We have paint and fiberglass capabilities. The shop can take care of anything they come across." Most of the dealership's technicians are RVIA certified and all sales employees attend Jayco's master training classes, according to Lineberger Jr. "To say finding good employees is hard is an understate- ment," he says. "We go through trial and error, but mostly we've found employees through word of mouth." One of the ways Terrell Camping Center distinguishes itself is its 8,700-square-foot parts and accessories showroom, stocked with a plethora of products, according to Lineberger Jr. "It isn't rivaled by anyone," he says. "Having such a large parts center comes in really handy. We still have to order some parts in when we don't have it on-hand, but we have a wide variety of parts. We even have some parts for old Suburban furnaces that haven't been around for 15 to 20 years." He adds that hitches are a big part of the dealership's business. "Especially fifth wheel receiver hitches. B&W Trailer Hitches are really popular for us," he says. "Satellite and solar dishes are becoming more popular, too." In a story similar to many other dealerships across the U.S., Lineberger Jr. says Terrell Camping Center saw a marked increase in new customers in 2020, thanks in large part to a desire by people who wanted to enjoy the great outdoors while maintaining social distancing amid the global pandemic. "This year (2020), with COVID, we've had a ton of new customers come into the RV lifestyle," he says. "We've seen customers from their mid-20s to 80 and even older, in some instances. The last few years have not been a set age group, for sure. If I had to zero it down, I'd say the 45 to 58 age group is a big part of our customer base and a majority of our business has been from 60 miles and in." Jayco fifth wheels and travel trailers are very popular with Terrell Camping Center's customers. The dealership exclusively retails new Jayco towables. Service tech Bobby Garrett installs a new tire on a trailer.
