24 THE SHOP MARCH 2021 MULE Expedition Outfitters has announced a partnership with MITS Alloy, an Australian manufacturer of aluminum flatbed trays and canopies for mid- and full-size trucks. The fully modular MITS Alloy system allows customization of adventure or fleet vehicles. The system starts with a marine-grade aluminum flatbed tray that comes standard with a headboard, CNC-cut window protector and LED tail- light package. "With most midsize trucks equipped with smaller beds, we have found a demand for those who need a pickup, but a full-size truck isn't practical. With a MITS Alloy Tray, your useable cargo space increases and transforms your midsize truck into a practical work and adventure vehicle," says Steven Bisig of MULE. The MITS Alloy Canopy systems are fully modular and configurable, with mounting points for several cargo solu- tions such as roller drawers, fridge mounts and tables. "One of the coolest and most practical features of the MITS Alloy system is the accessor y mount points. This feature allows the addi- tion and removal of accessories with just a simple socket set, allowing tradesmen to easily reconfigure their truck from a work truck to a camping vehicle in a manner of minutes," Bisig says.
