Professional appraisers will have creden- tials to support their estimates. How can you promote appraisals to help your shop's bottom line? Classified ads or space ads in trade and enthusiast publica- tions can get your service recognized. Don't forget to mail out a letter to insur- ance companies and banks in your area, advising them that your shop can do or arrange professional appraisals. More and more of these institutions are requiring their clients with classic or specialty vehicles to get an outside appraisal in order to write a policy or arrange a loan.
