Leading the charge, the Bay Star Sport and New Aire both received a full lifecycle changes for the 2022 model year. This is a product update that occurs roughly every four years, according to Sammut. For the Bay Star Sport, Sammut said, "Newmar's entry-level gas product features redesigned front and rear caps, newly tooled fenders, as well as an all-new dash panel." On the inside, the Bay Star Sport has new flooring, new slide-out fascia, window treatments and a kitchen with a new back slash design and counter-top edging. "There are also three new interior décor packages, as well as three fresh exterior graphic options that provide a new graphic design and new color combinations," said Sammut. According to Sammut, the Bay Star Sport saw a 53.8 increase in unit volume. The New Aire, which Newmar intro- duced in 2018, received its first lifecycle change ever. "The 2022 New Aire features a host of new styling features, including rede- signed front and rear caps, a dash with a completely new look, as well as many new interior design elements. There's even a lighted 'Newmar' badge on the front cap," Sammut said. The New Aire also features new cockpit seating provided by Williamsburg furni- ture and the dash features a new navigation system powered by Xite, called Navngo. Williamsburg and Villa International are two suppliers helping provide furniture in Newmar's lineup after Flexsteel exited the industry. Xite also is a newcomer, provided by Riverpark. The New Aire's dash has a 10-inch monitor.
