The truth is that because the system is monitoring a host of engine operating parameters and forcibly injecting fuel, the signal—such as a carburetor requires at the boosters—isn't impacting fuel metering. A fuel injection system can flow significantly more air through the butterflies with no ill effects." Oberhelman cautions that, while impres- sive, fuel injection systems are not a magic bullet.
