OCTOBER 2021 THE SHOP 89 How has technology changed the way your business functions? Some days you love it; some days you hate it. I still like people. I like seeing facial expressions. I like one- on-one salesmanship. I like to service my customers in that way. I admit I still struggle with all the texting and emailing. But the technology is impor- tant. Like, at our Oklahoma City location, we service dealerships that are 70-plus miles away. Our salesmen can't always get to all those places, so we have customers that we have never met one-on-one, never shook their hand, and it's all been by text or email. Those types of things still drive me crazy sometimes because relationships and pro- fessionalism are so important. But I think that they're not so important to so many people nowadays. They'd rather text. I mean, I've got guys that I don't see nearly as often as I used to because they do every- thing by text now.
